Wednesday, June 3 — Day 14
Review week, lap 2. (No exam Tuesday this week.)
The deal today
- 9:30 to 12:00 study, with two 20-minute breaks.
- 22 questions.
- 12:00 to 1:00 — no school. Screen off. Walk, talk, dance, cry, laugh, sleep. Even school is digital now, so one hour with yourself matters (it should be five). Don't fill it with a screen.
Focus today
Valence — S, Al, Ne
- S is group 16 → 6. Wants 2 more.
- Al is group 13 → 3. Gives 3 away.
- Ne is group 18 → 8. Full shell, noble gas, bonds with nothing.
Group number, not counting. Run the lesson's practice list first.
Peace — the 1970s cluster
- Camp David Accords, 1978. The framework that led to…
- Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty, 1979. First Arab country to recognize Israel. It has held — coldly — ever since.
- Dayton Accords, 1995. Ended the Bosnian War with an awkward power-sharing state.
- Westphalia, 1648 again — anchor it.
Math
- One new move: the inverse (flip a fraction: 3/7 → 7/3).
- Two breakdowns (15×13, 16×7). Watch the last addition.
- GCF, LCM, add, subtract, multiply — one each.
Today's exam (22 questions)
- 9 math (2 multiplication breakdowns, GCF, LCM, +/−/×, inverse)
- 5 science (3 valence + 2 protons/neutrons)
- 5 history (4 peace + Korean War)
- 3 evolution (first fish, first plants, KT extinction)
Warm-up
- Valence practice list (in the lesson).
- The four accord years and their stories.
